Narcissus Sugar Dipped is suitable for growing in outdoor containers, making it an excellent choice for decorating patios, garden entrances and outdoor seating areas with attractive seasonal colour.

Easy to grow and suitable for beginners and experienced gardeners, these bulbs thrive in well-drained soil in a sunny position. With appropriate planting and seasonal care, they can produce a beautiful spring flowering display.

The supplier describes Narcissus Sugar Dipped as a perennial variety. Daffodil bulbs may establish and flower again in subsequent years when grown in suitable conditions, although repeat flowering performance depends on soil, weather and aftercare.

Planting & Care Guide

Planting Time: Autumn, typically September to November in the UK, while the soil remains workable and before prolonged freezing conditions.

Flowering Time: Spring. Exact flowering months for Narcissus Sugar Dipped require supplier confirmation.

Position: Full sun, according to the supplier's recommendation.

Soil: Fertile, well-drained soil. Avoid heavy, waterlogged conditions.

Planting Depth: Approximately 10–15 cm deep, depending on bulb size. As a general guide, plant daffodil bulbs at a depth of around two to three times their height.

Planting Spacing: Approximately 10–15 cm apart, depending on bulb size and the desired planting effect.

Watering: Water after planting if the soil is dry. Maintain suitable moisture during active growth while avoiding prolonged waterlogging.

Container Growing: Plant in outdoor pots with drainage holes using suitable well-draining compost. Position containers in a sunny location.

Aftercare: Remove faded flowers if desired, but allow the foliage to yellow and die back naturally after flowering. This helps the bulbs replenish energy for future growth.
