Tulipa 'Cairns' belongs to the fringed tulip group, celebrated for its finely textured petal edges that give the flowers an elegant and unusual appearance. The delicate fringes add extra detail to each bloom, making this variety an attractive choice for gardeners looking to introduce something different into their spring planting arrangements.

The vivid pink colouring of Tulipa Cairns brings warmth and energy to the garden, while its distinctive flower shape creates a sophisticated decorative feature. Its beautifully detailed petals provide an attractive contrast against fresh green foliage and complementary spring flowers.

Perfect for gardeners who appreciate bold colours and unusual flower forms, Tulipa Cairns combines the classic beauty of tulips with an eye-catching fringed appearance.

Whether planted in traditional cottage-style borders or contemporary garden designs, these beautiful pink tulips add depth, texture and seasonal charm to outdoor spaces.

For a fuller and more impressive display, plant Tulipa Cairns bulbs in coordinated groups throughout sunny garden borders or flower beds. Group planting allows the vibrant pink flowers to create a striking focal point while complementing surrounding ornamental plants.

Tulipa Cairns is also suitable for growing in outdoor containers, making it an excellent choice for decorating patios, garden entrances and seating areas with attractive spring colour.

These elegant tulips work beautifully alongside white, purple and pastel-coloured spring flowers, creating coordinated planting schemes that highlight their distinctive fringed petals.

Their decorative appearance also makes them a lovely option for seasonal cut flower arrangements, allowing you to enjoy the beauty of their textured blooms indoors.

Easy to grow and suitable for beginners and experienced gardeners, Tulipa Cairns thrives in well-drained soil in a sunny position. With appropriate planting and seasonal care, these bulbs can produce a beautiful spring flowering display.

The supplier describes Tulipa Cairns as a perennial variety. Tulip bulbs may establish and flower again in subsequent years when grown in suitable conditions, although repeat flowering performance can vary.

Flowering Time: Spring. Fringed tulips commonly flower during mid to late spring, although the exact flowering period for Tulipa Cairns depends on local conditions.

Position: Full sun.

Soil: Fertile, well-drained soil. Avoid heavy, waterlogged conditions.

Planting Depth: Approximately 10–15 cm deep, depending on bulb size.

Planting Spacing: Approximately 10–15 cm apart.

Watering: Water after planting if the soil is dry and maintain moderate moisture during active growth. Avoid excessive watering and prolonged waterlogging.

Container Growing: Plant in outdoor pots with drainage holes using suitable well-draining compost. Position containers in a sunny location.
